Spencer Merkord, MAI is a First Vice President in the Valuation & Advisory Services Group of CBRE. Mr. Merkord is based in Dallas, Texas, but serves a national role as a member of its Valuations for Financial & Tax Reporting Practice. Mr. Merkord has more than 17 years of real estate valuation and consulting experience that encompasses all major classifications of real estate throughout the United States and Internationally.
Mr. Merkord has spent much of his career focused on valuations for financial and tax reporting, but has also performed appraisals and offered consulting services for underwriting analyses, mortgage-based lending, portfolio valuations, litigation support services and feasibility analyses. He has conducted valuations for all types of properties including office, retail, industrial, multifamily, hospitality, healthcare, data centers, and vacant land. The valuations performed by Mr. Merkord have encompassed fee simple, leased fee and leasehold interests, and have concluded market value, fair value, fair market value, use value, and liquidation value.
Prior to joining CBRE, Mr. Merkord was a Manager at Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP focusing on financial and tax reporting valuations and assisting Deloitte audit teams as a valuation review specialist. Before joining Deloitte, Mr. Merkord completed an internship with Archon Group, L.P., a wholly owned subsidiary of Goldman Sachs.
