Stephen Hershfield joined CBRE full time in 2012 after graduating from Michigan State University following a two-year internship. Stephen provides his clients with strategic real estate solutions highlighted by his attention to detail and creativity. Although he focuses on Mid-Michigan, his work spans throughout Michigan from Grand Rapids to Detroit, as well as northern Michigan. This has enabled him to grow a client base that ranges from small business owners to large corporations and non-profits.
Mr. Hershfield is a big advocate of lifelong learning, earning his CCIM designation in late 2018. He is also heavily involved in the community as a Chamber Ambassador, holds several volunteer board member positions and is a mentor to many high school (including in his hometown of Midland, MI) and college students at Michigan State University.
In the three-year span between 2021 – 2023, Stephen successfully transacted over $400 million of commercial real estate.
Transaction Highlights
Led by Stephen in Michigan, CBRE has been the trusted advisor of Cinnaire across the country. The Team has successfully closed over a dozen transactions for Cinnaire throughout the Midwest. The most notable disposition was the statewide Michigan Portfolio of 1,640 apartment units spanning nine communities. This transaction closed in early 2022 for more than $135MM.
