Mr. Castor joined Trammell Crow Company in 1985 and has held a variety of security management positions at multiple properties working with staff and department managers to understand their security needs and implement actions to accommodate them with the appropriate mix of staffing, equipment and procedures. In 1999 he was promoted to Director of Security Services where he directed all security related activities for the 200-member proprietary security team and 30+ million square feet of space. He was responsible for the development and implementation of security services for customers, staff and visitors of Trammell Crow Company including security-related policies, procedures, and guidelines. In 2002 he was promoted to National Security Director.
Additionally, Mr. Castor initiated, implemented and managed the National Emergency Operation Center (NEOC). The NEOC coordinated emergency response and crisis management for Trammell Crow Company nationwide playing key roles in the hurricane seasons of 2004 (Charley, Frances, Ivan and Jeanne) and 2005 (Katrina, Rita and Wilma).
Joining CBRE with the Trammell Crow Company acquisition in 2006 Castor continues to expand the proprietary security services with the formation of CBRE Security Services, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary providing value added security services to CBRE Asset Services. Likewise, the NEOC has continued to support both the Asset Services and GCS markets most recently with Hurricane Ike in 2008. Recently Castor joined the Global Risk Management team focusing on security and emergency response issues internationally.
