As a Director for Project Management in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Steve Echols is responsible for project facility assessment and strategy, project specifications, design planning and procurement, construction implementation, data and telephony planning and procurement, move management and project close-out. He provides day-to-day coordination of all project consultants, contractors, vendors, and contract administration on behalf of his clients.
Steve has more than 35 years of general contracting and project management experience in new project development, built-to-suit, and tenant finish and renovation. His expertise includes commercial, industrial, retail, and residential projects, as well as overseas and domestic assignments.
Prior to joining CBRE, Steve served as Senior Construction Manager with Equity Office Properties, where he was responsible for coordination and/or oversight of day-to-day construction projects that included tenant improvements for 14 Class A office buildings totalling more than 4.2 million square feet. Previously, he served as Vice President with Vantage / Bradford Companies, managing and coordinating the construction operations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for more than 75 industrial, retail, showroom and office properties totalling over 15 million square feet. He began his career as a Construction Supervisor with Fox & Jacob, a division of Centex Corp., in Dallas.
