As Managing Director and Market Leader for CBRE’s business in Palm Beach County, Susan Bands is responsible for developing and implementing strategic growth for the firm’s retail and capital markets practices across South Florida, as well as the day-to-day leadership of CBRE’s Boca Raton and West Palm Beach offices.
Ms. Bands is a trusted advisor, coach, and key conduit in helping CBRE professionals expand their business, access resources across the platform, and perform exceptionally for their clients. She is also an active proponent of CBRE’s Employee Resource Business Groups, including Women’s Network, Rising Professionals Group, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives.
Ms. Bands has extensive brokerage and leadership experience with over 20 years of commercial real estate experience. Throughout her career, she has represented a variety of notable institutional owners in the acquisition, disposition, sale-leaseback, and re-development of their assets.
Prior to joining CBRE, Ms. Bands served as Regional Manager of Marcus & Millichap’s flagship New York region, overseeing a $100+ million revenue stream and nearly 200 professionals. There she founded the firm’s first national women’s organization, called MMWomen, which is still in operation today.
Ms. Bands earned her Bachelor of Science from Northwestern University and has completed post-baccalaureate work at North Carolina State University and Loyola University in Chicago. A native of Manhattan, she relocated to West Palm Beach in 2022 with her two college-aged children, who attend University of Miami and Florida State University.
