Professional Experience

Susan Wasmund leads CBRE’s Global Occupancy Management practice, focusing on Occupancy Strategy, Space and Utilization Data Management, and CAD Services. As the practice lead, Susan is responsible for ensuring superior client outcomes through consistent client care and project efficiencies across 50+ accounts. She is also responsible for growing the company’s variable occupancy planning business across all regions, including a service center model that ensures high quality with cost efficiency. Susan provides governance and oversight to ensure occupancy scope and services exceed client expectations. In addition, Susan is responsible for growing the Workplace and Occupancy Management Business with new innovations, products, and creative solutions and key technology partnerships.

Susan has over 25 years of real estate experience in Workplace Strategy, Occupancy Planning, Project Management and Facilities Management. She provides creative and integrated solutions on the most effective and efficient use of the workplace.

In previous roles, Susan served as the Occupancy Planning Lead on several large client accounts, where she was responsible for the migration and implementation of new CAFM/IWMS systems for each client. This included implementing space standards and processes and maintaining consistency to provide space metrics and space allocation/chargeback methodologies. She also managed teams that delivered planning strategies for large consolidations, expansions, and reconfigurations including M&A support. The teams were responsible for the analysis of supply/demand information as well as assisting in reducing occupancy costs by delivering creative occupancy strategies that align with changing business drivers with optimal portfolio utilization.
