Sy Kim

Sy Kim has direct responsibility for CBRE Renewables’ off-site community solar and on-site renewables. In this capacity, he drives transactions and deal structuring between renewable energy developers and Fortune 500 companies. Sy also has oversight responsibilities for CBRE Renewables’ business operations.

Before joining CBRE, Sy was managing director of a boutique consulting firm and advised renewable energy development firms such as Nexamp, Pacific Current, Onswitch, and NRG Energy. Previously, he managed Clearway Energy’s community solar origination and distributed generation development teams. Earlier in his career, Sy drove onsite development for SunPower while acting as a commercial liaison to policy and regulatory affairs.

With over 15 years in the renewable energy sector, Sy leverages his deep expertise of facilitating transactions and deal structuring between renewable energy developers and Fortune 500 companies, while also ensuring efficient management of the CBRE Renewables business.
