Ted Jacobs

Ted Jacobs is a Vice Chairman, Managing Director with CBRE, leading its regional Life Sciences Practice with an exclusive focus on tenant representation. Jacobs, based in San Diego one of the top 3 life sciences clusters in the world, also helps lead CBRE’s National Life Science practice as a member of its Executive Council providing strategic guidance and market insights to the firm and its clients. He represents a broad range of companies in the sector including startups, big pharma, non-profit institutes, venture capital firms, across a wide variety of uses such as cGMP, CLIA, biology and chemistry. He provides many of these organizations with national and international representation.

Jacobs joined CBRE from Cushman & Wakefield, where he was the youngest Vice Chairman in the history of the company. Jacobs has years of exposure to the life sciences industry as previously working on a team which was the first life sciences group in the country to specialize exclusively in life sciences real estate representation. Jacobs is also an active board member of Biocom California and San Diego Entrepreneurs Exchange, two leading organizations that support the growth and innovation of the life sciences industry.
