Thomas Van Brunt is a Vice President within the Debt & Structured Finance group of CBRE’s Capital Markets division. Mr. Van Brunt is based in the firm’s Atlanta, GA, office with a primary focus on sourcing permanent and bridge debt as well as preferred and JV Equity on behalf of syndicators, high net worth individuals, developers, family offices, private equity real estate funds and regional/national owner operators to finance multifamily and commercial assets across the United States.
Mr. Van Brunt has cultivated strong relationships with various capital sources including Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, FHA, life insurance companies, banks, debt funds and private equity. Since joining CBRE in 2019, Mr. Van Brunt has been part of over $2 billion in debt and equity transactions.
Upon graduating from Georgia Southern University in 2015, Mr. Van Brunt began his career with Cushman & Wakefield in Atlanta as an associate specializing in debt and equity underwriting for commercial real estate lenders and investors.
