Timothy M. Gaffney joined CBRE in February 2022 as an HUD/FHA MAP Multi-family and 232 Lean Healthcare approved Deputy Chief Underwriter. Prior to CBRE, Tim worked at the mortgage banking firm of Grandbridge Real Estate Capital, LLC and has a very long history in the FHA Lending and Mortgage Banking industries dating back to the late 1990’s.
Tim began his career in 1986 as a commercial real estate appraiser specializing in healthcare/multi-family valuation and consulting. His mortgage banking career started in 1997 as a Senior Loan Underwriter for Prudential Huntoon Paige which is now a subsidiary of PGIM. After leaving PGIM in 2007, Tim was employed as Chief Underwriter for a boutique New York based FHA/CMBS Lender until 2009.
During the last 12-years, Tim acted as Grandbridge’s Chief Underwriter and was responsible for supervising all HUD/FHA mortgage insured underwriting efforts. In addition, he assisted in the FHA Ginnie Mae investor security trading platform, sat on the firm’s corporate credit loan review panel, assisted in loan origination training, and directed the coordination of the firms Bridge to HUD/FHA mortgage insured loan take out program.
