Tom Laczay is a Vice President at CBRE, working with the Occupier Restructuring & Disposition Services Group. With his extensive knowledge in the intricacies of real estate bankruptcy auctions and procedures, Tom provides a valuable service for clients seeking guidance in liquidating their real estate assets. During his 24-year career in real estate, Tom has provided valuations of more than 13,000 retail and commercial leasehold and fee-owned interests, both in and out of bankruptcy.
Prior to joining CBRE, Tom was a Principal of DJM Real Estate, a Gordon Brothers Group company, where he was employed since the company’s inception. During his tenure there, Tom conducted many of the firm’s notable real estate bankruptcy auctions and provided project net orderly liquidation values (NOLV) for clients and served as an expert witness from a hands-on disposition perspective, in numerous bankruptcy cases. Some significant assignments included Radio Shack’s industrial portfolio, A&P Supermarkets, BI-LO, Winn-Dixie Stores, Heilig-Meyers Furniture, Dan River Industries, Sbarro, Loehmann’s and Frank’s Nursery & Crafts.
