Bill Lerner is the Co-Head of U.S. & Canada Investment Banking at CBRE and has over 28 years of investment banking and equity research experience. Mr. Lerner joined CBRE with their 2021 acquisition of Union Gaming, the leading boutique investment bank and advisory firm focused exclusively on the global gaming industry. He cofounded Union Gaming in 2009, as the company’s leader in the investment banking practice. Prior to Union Gaming, he was Managing Director and Senior Gaming & Lodging Analyst at Deutsche Bank Securities. Before joining Deutsche Bank, Mr. Lerner was Senior Gaming, Lodging & Leisure Analyst at Prudential Securities, which followed equity research and institutional sales roles at Deutsche Morgan Grenfell in its Latin American Equities group based in New York and Mexico City.

Education & Affiliations

Mr. Lerner holds an undergraduate degree from Syracuse University, where he was President of Syracuse Rugby, and an M.B.A. from Boston University. In 1996 he authored a reference book on emerging stock markets published by Irwin Professional Publishing (now McGraw Hill). Mr. Lerner has served on the boards of Nevada Cancer Institute and Intralot Inc. a leading U.S. lottery and sports betting provider. He is a 2023 recipient of the U.S. National Guard's Patrick Henry Award. He is the Honorary Commander of Nevada Air National Guard’s 152nd Mission Support Group and formerly Honorary Commander of the 232nd Operating Squadron. He is currently a board member of the Nellis (Air Force Base) Support Team, Co-Chairman and Treasurer of the National Guard’s Nevada Youth ChalleNGe Foundation in support of Battle Born Youth ChalleNGe Academy and STARBASE, the DoD’s STEM program. Mr. Lerner lives in Las Vegas, is married and has four children.
