Professional Experience
As Chief Strategy Officer, Billy Hart works with CBRE’s senior executive leadership across business segments and corporate functions to define the company’s strategy and accelerate both growth and competitive advantage.
Prior to assuming this role in January 2026, Mr. Hart served as Chief Strategy and Underwriting Officer for Trammell Crow Company, overseeing strategic planning and growth initiatives, underwriting and risk management. He served as Chair of the firm’s Investment Committee and was a member of the Executive Committee.
Earlier, Mr. Hart served as CBRE’s Group President, Corporate Development partnering with leaders across all Business Segments globally to identify M&A investment opportunities and execute CBRE’s corporate M&A strategy. Before that, he served as Group President, Advisory Services and Chief Operating Officer, Americas Advisory for CBRE.
Prior to joining CBRE in 2021, he was a Partner in Boston Consulting Group (BCG)’s Los Angeles office. He was a core member of the Real Estate Practice and played an integral role in BCG’s strategy work for CBRE.
Prior to BCG, Mr. Hart worked in Baseball Operations for the New York Yankees and Investment Banking for Financial Technology Partners. Earlier, he played professional baseball in the Houston Astros organization.
He holds an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business where he was a Joseph Wharton Scholar and earned a BS, with honors, from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business. At USC, he was a member of the baseball team and the two-time national champion football team.
