Amy Bowser, Brooks Brown and Team Join CBRE

CBRE is pleased to announce Amy Bowser has joined the company as an Executive Vice President in CBRE’s advisory and transaction services group, focusing on investor leasing. Also joining Ms. Bowser is Senior Vice President Brooks Brown. Ms. Bowser and Br. Brooks will be based in the company’s D.C. office and will work together with their team to continue to grow CBRE’s portfolio of D.C. area listings.

Ms. Bowser joins CBRE from JLL, where she was consistently recognized as a top performer, working on some of the most high-profile and complex transactions in our region. She has specialized in the Washington, D.C. office market since 1999. Ms. Bowser and her transactions have been recognized by numerous organizations and publications. In 2015, she was awarded the Washington Business Journal (WBJ)’s Most Complex Deal for The Washington Post’s lease at One Franklin Square and in 2016, she won the WBJ’s Game Changer award for her work on the Advisory Board Company’s transaction. In 2019, JLL named Ms. Bowser the National MVP of Leasing. She made Commercial Observer’s list of DC’s 25 Most Powerful Real Estate Players in 2019 and 2020, and in 2019 and 2021, Ms. Bowser was also recognized by the Commercial Real Estate Brokerage Association as the #1 leasing agent in the District. In 2022, Ms. Bowser was named one of WBJ’s Women Who Mean Business.

Prior to CBRE, Mr. Brown also worked with Amy at JLL. Mr. Brown has over 24 years of commercial real estate leasing experience. He and Ms. Boswer both started together at Spaulding & Slye in 1999, which was acquired by JLL. Prior to rejoining JLL in 2019, Mr. Brown was a key member of Tishman Speyer’s leasing team in Northern Virginia and most recently downtown Boston, MA where he served as Managing Director of Leasing for Tishman’s Speyer’s 3.5-million-square-foot portfolio. Mr. Brown’s diverse background across multiple markets and various areas of the industry (leasing, asset management, underwriting, and acquisitions) allow him to provide a unique prospective in advising his clients and he has been part of many complex and complicated transactions.
