CBRE Appointed Exclusive Leasing Agent for Chelsea Piers Studios

CBRE today announced it has been appointed the exclusive leasing agent for Chelsea Piers Studios, an unparalleled destination for studio and content creation users as the only self-contained studio space in Manhattan available for long-term lease. Totaling 86,012 sq. ft. with the potential to create 166,000 sq. ft. on two floors and a mezzanine level, the studio space is located in a highly visible West Side riverside location with easy access to all areas of Manhattan and its countless amenities.

The CBRE team of Anthony Dattoma, Paul Amrich, Neil King and Anthony Jasenski are spearheading the leasing campaign on behalf of Chelsea Piers Studios.

According to CBRE’s 2023 Tri-State Film & Television Report, the film industry is ideally positioned for success and is a true bright spot for the region as a whole. America’s top streaming platforms grew last year, with eight of the most popular platforms experiencing collective subscription increase of 20% over 2021. This meteoric growth has been supported by gains on long-standing streaming platforms alongside the introduction of several newer services from legacy media companies.

As a result of New York City’s place as a worldwide media center, as well as the New York Film Production Tax Credit which has been renewed through 2034, a growing number of productions have been attracted to the area, according to the CBRE report.

“Now that the writers’ strike has ended, the demand for space will be insatiable, and with over $700 million in state incentives, the city is fast becoming the premier destination for television and film production,” added Mr. Jasenski.
