CBRE Appoints Satoru Sugiyama as Head of Property Management Division

CBRE (Japan headquarters: Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) announces that Satoru Sugiyama has been appointed the new head of its Property Management division, effective today. In this position, Satoru will oversee two service lines: Property Management (PM) and Asset Management (AM).

He brings extensive experience in the fields of financial investment, real estate securitization, and real estate development, both domestically and internationally. [Professional Experience] Satoru Sugiyama Head of Property Management Division, CBRE After receiving his Master's degree from Keele Graduate School of Management (UK), Satoru Sugiyama joined Mitsubishi Corporation in 1999 where he worked in the Aerospace Division. In 2005 he moved to Mitsubishi Corporation Asset, gaining experience in alternative investments, and a year later, back at Mitsubishi Corporation, working on the acquisition and development of industrial properties for listing as a real estate investment trust (J-REIT). In 2007 he began his tenure at Diamond Realty Management, forming a private fund. In 2011 he started working for a leasing company in Saudia Arabia and was involved in the sale and leaseback of real estate properties. In 2018 he joined Mitsubishi Corporation Urban Development where he helped acquire and develop land for logistics facilities. Satoru joined CBRE on March 1, 2024, as the head of the Property Management division.
