Asia Pacific – 3 July, 2025 – CBRE announced today the appointment of Shun Endo as Head of Data Centre, Capital Markets, Asia Pacific.

In this new regional position, Mr. Endo will assume additional responsibilities alongside his current position within CBRE’s Investment Banking business in Japan. He will focus on developing a comprehensive data centre platform to serve clients across Asia Pacific, collaborating closely with regional data centre leads to deliver integrated solutions to meet the rising demand for data centre investments.

Based in Tokyo, Mr. Endo is fluent in Japanese and English and brings extensive experience in driving data centre asset investments, including development land, core & shell facilities, and operational centres. Since 2024, he has executed transactions totalling over US$4 billion, with US$1.8 billion in data centre transactions.

The growing demand for data centres, driven by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and cloud services, has driven strong investor appetite across the Asia Pacific region. According to CBRE’s latest report, the global data center vacancy rate declined by 2.1 percentage points from a year earlier to a record low 6.6% in the first quarter of 2025, with demand expected to continue outpacing new supply in both core and emerging hubs.

“CBRE is committed to delivering comprehensive services and solutions to navigate the complex data centre investment landscape. With Shun’s deep expertise and experience, we are well-positioned to drive exceptional value for our clients in this dynamic sector,” said Takashi Tsuji, President and Chief Operating Officer, CBRE Japan.

“Shun’s knowledge and strong client relationships will further enhance our data centre platform at a time of growing investor interest in the Asia Pacific market. This consolidated approach will enable us to deliver exceptional results for our clients, while strengthening our presence in this highly sought-after sector,” said Hugh Macdonald, Head of Capital Advisors, Asia Pacific, for CBRE.
