CBRE announced today that Jazmin Rodrigues and Kody Mento with the company’s Valuation & Advisory Services (VAS) group in Honolulu, Hawaii, have achieved the Certified General Appraiser (CGA) license with the State of Hawaii.

Mrs. Rodriques and Mr. Mento worked with CBRE’s VAS team for several years while pursuing their license. Their achievements fill a much-needed profession in the state. The CGA license requires extensive experience, rigorous appraisal education, comprehensive examinations, and licensing board review and approval.

“Hawaii has an undersupply of licensed appraisers. Kody and Jazmin’s licensure will help us serve our clients in a more timely manner at a critical time in the capital markets,” said Nathan Alexander, Managing Director of Valuation & Advisory Services in Hawaii. “Becoming a certified general appraiser is a significant achievement on its own, and being able to provide Jazmin and Kody with hands-on experience throughout the licensing process makes their accomplishment even more meaningful for our team.”

Mrs. Rodrigues has been promoted to Appraiser and joined CBRE in 2015 with the Hallstrom Group team. She provides research, analysis and report writing for all property types and has assisted in valuing agricultural land, retail, office, and hotel properties, as well as complex assignments like easement valuations, economic impact market studies and real property tax appeals. Mrs. Rodrigues earned a B.S.B.A. in Finance from Hawaii Pacific University in Honolulu and is a Kalani High School graduate.

Mr. Mento is also an Appraiser and joined CBRE in 2017. During his time with the company, he’s assisted in valuing development and agricultural lands, leased fee properties, and multifamily and industrial projects. He’s also worked on litigation and arbitration issues, real property tax appeals and subdivision analyses. Mr. Mento earned a B.A. in Finance and Economics from Creighton University and is a graduate of the Iolani School.
