CBRE has arranged the lease of a 1,035 sq. ft. retail space at Backyard on Blake, a renovated warehouse turned outdoor shopping center in the River North Arts District to Flee the Flock Curated Goods.

Molly Bayer of CBRE represented the tenant, FTF Goods, in the transaction. Keri Farmelo with Mainspring represented the landlord, Backyard on Blake, LLC.

Located at 3040 Blake St. in Denver, the shopping center is home to 10 local shops and small business owners. Backyard on Blake features a coffee shop, restaurant, multiple artist studios, co-working space, courtyard garden and rooftop.

“This community of small business owners shows the vibrancy of the retail market,” said CBRE’s Bayer. “By banding together to create this community space that encourages visitors to walk around, these businesses and their owners have shown what a thriving shopping center focusing on local businesses can look like.”

FTF Goods, owned by founder Jesse Holmes, will sell home goods, barware, outdoor essentials and everyday carry items. The store will be in Suite 100 of the property.

“I’m excited to serve the community and to join other great businesses at Backyard on Blake. Please stop by in early June to check out the new store,” said Holmes.

Denver’s retail market posted just over 108,000 sq. ft. of positive net absorption in the fourth quarter of 2023, according to CBRE research. Vacancy decreased quarter over quarter, dropping to 5.9%.
