CBRE Arranges 32,000 Square Foot Life Science Lease at Research Square

CBRE announced that it represented Velocis and Altus Realty in a 32,000-sq.-ft. lease with Hansoh Bio at 1500 Research Boulevard, part of the newly redeveloped Research Square life science campus in Rockville, Maryland.

Hansoh Bio, an innovation-driven biotech in the Maryland biotech hub, will occupy the entire second and third floors of 1500 Research Boulevard, totaling 32,000 sq. ft., consisting of fully built-out laboratory and office space, along with lab-ready shell space. This transaction marks one of the largest new research and development leases in the Mid-Atlantic market over the past 24 months and officially kicks off leasing activity at Research Square.

Research Square, a two-building campus acquired by Altus Realty and Velocis in 2022, has been transformed into Class A lab and office space designed to meet the growing demand from life science companies in Maryland. The property offers flexible, efficient workspaces and a suite of modern amenities, including collaborative lounges, outdoor meeting areas, and advanced lab infrastructure.
