CBRE represented 579 Broad Urban Renewal, LLC, the owners of 579 Broad Street in Newark, NJ, in a long-term lease of 4,203 sq. ft. to Bardega Supper Club, which plans to open a new restaurant/lounge in the location in the summer of 2026.
Marta Person Villa of CBRE represented the owner in the deal, while Tara Robertson of BRX Realty negotiated on behalf of the tenant.
“The new Bardega Supper Club is the latest addition to the thriving entertainment and retail scene in downtown Newark,” said Villa. “In addition to complimentary shopping and venues, the area is a destination for more than 60,000 students, faculty, and staff, and is less than a 20-minute train ride to New York Penn Station and just eight miles from lower Manhattan.”
The five-story, 40,000 sq. ft. property at 579 Broad Street is part of a historic building originally constructed in 1900 and subsequently converted into a mixed-use development with 41 high-end residential units over 5,700 sq. ft. of retail. The new supper club will occupy the majority of the ground-floor retail space.
