CBRE Arranges Office Leases Totaling 59,428 SF at Douglas Development’s 222 Delaware Avenue in Wilmington, DE

New Commitments and Renewals Completed at Fully Renovated Class A Office Property

CBRE today announced the completion of five office leases totaling 59,428 sq. ft. at PNC Bank Center, a newly renovated Class A office building located at 222 Delaware Avenue in Wilmington, DE. PNC Bank, Heyman Enerio Gattuso & Hirzel LLP, Akerman LLP, McCann, Dillon, Jaffe & Lamb, LLC, and Block & Leviton LLP committed to office space at the 249,799 sq.-ft. premier office property located in the heart of Downtown Wilmington.

CBRE’s John Kaczowka spearheads the office leasing campaign at the property and represented the ownership, Douglas Development in the lease negotiations.

“The newly renovated property continues to attract new space users as well as retain high profile existing tenants,” said Kaczowka. “Corporate space users are attracted to the strategic downtown location in the center of Wilmington's Central Business District within one block of the Hotel DuPont, Sheraton Suites Hotel, Courtyard Hotel, and the Playhouse Theatre, as well at the property’s recently renovated fitness center, main lobby entrance, new conference center, abundant parking, and updated common areas.”

Among the largest leases completed was a 32,530 sq.-ft. renewal on the 15th and 18th floors by PNC Bank in a transaction arranged by Tom Coyne of Fidelity Commercial on behalf of the financial institution.

New leases included:

  • A 13,918 sq.-ft. lease negotiated by Cindy Fleming of JLL for Heyman Enerio Gattuso & Hirzel LLP on the ninth floor;
  • A 5,271 sq.-ft. lease signed by Akerman LLP on the 17th floor in a deal arranged by Bark Mackey and Matthew Cheezem of C&W;
  • A 4,519 sq.ft lease negotiated by Neal Dangello and Mike Dolan of Newmark for McCann, Dillon, Jaffe & Lamb, LLC;
  • A 3,190 sq.-ft. lease on the 11th floor by Block & Leviton LLP in a transaction also arranged by JLL’s Fleming.
