CBRE Arranges Sale of 223-Unit PointeWest Apartment Homes in West Des Moines

CBRE has arranged the sale of PointeWest Apartment Homes, a 223-unit multifamily property in West Des Moines. California-based Canyon View Capital purchased the property from an East Coast-based seller for an undisclosed amount, marking the company’s first acquisition in Iowa.

CBRE’s Cy Fox, Ray Hamilton, Keith Collins and Danny Baker represented the seller in the transaction.

"PointeWest generated strong investor interest given its prominent West Des Moines location and unrivaled amenity package,” said Fox. “This sale demonstrates another example of the large number of multifamily investors from across the country interested in acquiring assets in the greater Des Moines region.”

PointeWest Apartment Homes is located at 4601 Pleasant St., just off Interstate 235 and minutes from Jordan Creek Town Center. Built in 1989, the property features a range of one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans averaging 904 square feet.

Community amenities include underground parking, an indoor and outdoor pool, a sauna, pickleball courts, fireplaces in select units, private patios and balconies, in-unit washers and dryers, a fitness center, an indoor basketball court, a game room, a dog park and two picnic areas.
