CBRE Group, Inc. today announced that it has acquired full ownership of CBRE Raleigh. CBRE Raleigh was established in 2001 and has operated in recent years as a joint venture between CBRE and an independent entity owned by Raleigh and Triad-based partners.

CBRE Raleigh is a leading commercial real estate brokerage firm in Raleigh-Durham and the Triad markets in North Carolina. The growing region has shown strong demand for office, retail and industrial space, with an increasing concentration of life sciences companies. Approximately 115 brokerage, property management and support professionals will join the CBRE team.

“CBRE Raleigh is a tremendous complement to our business in the Carolinas and overall,” said Chris Connelly, CBRE’s Advisory Services Group President East. “Bringing CBRE Raleigh into CBRE will enhance the careers of our new colleagues and materially benefit the clients we serve in the region.”

Tom Fritsch, who has been leading CBRE Raleigh since 2013, will remain the business's leader, reporting to Mr. Connelly. Mr. Fritsch’s strong leadership and deep regional expertise will be instrumental in growing the business and delivering exceptional outcomes to clients throughout the region.

“After more than two decades of partnership, this transaction is a natural evolution of our longstanding relationship with CBRE. We are looking forward to bringing the full strength of CBRE’s services and resources to our clients across North Carolina’s commercial real estate market,” said Tom Fritsch, Senior Managing Director, CBRE Raleigh.

CBRE will continue to serve clients through offices in Raleigh, Greensboro and Winston-Salem.
