March 8, 2024 (Seoul) – CBRE, a global commercial real estate services company, proudly announced on the 8th the domestic launch of their 'Women's Network', a women's leadership development program, in honor of International Women's Day. This exceptional program underscores their commitment to empowering women in the industry. This is the first time for a domestic commercial real estate consulting company in Korea.

The 'Women's Network' at CBRE, operating since 2000, is an exceptional initiative anchored on the four pillars of 'growth, connection, mentorship, and advocacy'. It is a testament to CBRE's respect for female talent and its commitment to fostering leadership. This globally operated program engages around 6,500 participants across over 100 countries. Initially conceived to enhance the professional development of CBRE's female employees, provide education, and facilitate networking opportunities, the Women's Network has evolved into a comprehensive program that fosters networking and mentorship opportunities for all members, transcending gender boundaries.
CBRE Korea celebrated the domestic launch of the Women's Network on March 7, with its employees taking the 'heart pose' together, symbolizing this year's International Women's Day theme, '#Inspireinclusion'. This launch event underscored CBRE's proactive corporate culture that fervently supports the growth of all members, not merely women, thereby embodying the principles of DE&I (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion).
Meanwhile, CBRE was named to the 2023 Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI) for the fourth consecutive year, recognized for its commitment to women's leadership and talent development, gender pay parity, inclusive culture, sexual harassment policy, and women-friendly brand. The company was also recognized as a 2023 Best Company for Women by the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), a U.S. women-friendly company rating organization.
"CBRE Korea is leading the way in establishing a culture of gender equality with 50 percent female employees and 30 percent female leadership," said Don Lim, Managing Director of CBRE Korea. "Through the launch of the Women's Network, CBRE Korea will further strive to create a corporate culture that respects the diversity of all employees and grows together, regardless of gender, race, age, and more."
