CBRE Names Chris Poppell and Dawson Rinder to Key Mid-Atlantic Leadership Roles

CBRE announces the expansion of its Mid-Atlantic leadership team with the addition of Chris Poppell as Managing Director and Investor Services Leader for the Mid-Atlantic and Dawson Rinder as Managing Director and Maryland Market Leader.

Poppell joins CBRE as Managing Director and Investor Services Leader for the Mid-Atlantic, where he will help scale the firm's Investor Services business across the region. Most recently, he served as Director of Investment Real Estate at George Washington University, where he oversaw a $1.2 billion portfolio and led acquisitions, dispositions, asset management and strategic real estate initiatives. Prior to that, he spent more than a decade with Piedmont Realty Trust, including leadership roles overseeing major office portfolios in Washington, D.C., and other key U.S. markets.

Rinder joins CBRE as Managing Director and Maryland Market Leader, where he will oversee business operations and growth strategy across the firm's Maryland business. He most recently served as Managing Director and Market Leader of Marcus & Millichap's Washington, D.C. office, overseeing the firm's business across Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia. Prior to that, he served as Managing Director and Market Leader for Marcus & Millichap in Southern California, where he led a team of more than 100 investment sales professionals and oversaw activity tied to more than $7.8 billion in commercial real estate transactions.
