CBRE Names Michael Lirtzman Managing Director, Office Investor Leasing

CBRE today announced that Michael Lirtzman has joined the company as Managing Director, Office Investor Leasing, based in Chicago.

Lirtzman will report to Office Investor Leasing President Mike Watts and will partner with him to further enhance CBRE’s national Office Investor Leasing platform.

In his role, Lirtzman will focus on revenue growth, strengthening collaboration across business lines and regions, and working with marketing teams to enhance client deliverables and branding.

“Michael brings a strong investor perspective and a deep understanding of office leasing strategy across market cycles,” Watts said. “His experience advising owners on acquisitions, repositioning and leasing execution will be an important asset as we continue to expand our platform and support our clients.”

Lirtzman joins CBRE with extensive experience advising office investors on acquisitions, capital investment, repositioning strategy and transaction execution. Most recently, he served as head of Office Agency Leasing, U.S., and a Principal in the Chicago office at Colliers. He also held executive roles at Sterling Bay and Transwestern and was a partner in a private investment owner-operator.

Over the course of his career, Lirtzman has built and led teams in multiple U.S. markets and completed more than 4 million sq. ft. of lease transactions, contributing to more than $3 billion in property sales.

Lirtzman holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Michigan and is a licensed real estate broker in Illinois.
