CBRE announced the opening of its 5,154-sq.-ft. office at the Philips Murrah Building, a new, five-story, Class A office building at 424 NW 10th Street in midtown Oklahoma City. CBRE’s office is located on the second floor of the building. CBRE relocated from its previous workplace at 3401 NW 63rd Street.
The new office is part of CBRE’s Workplace360 program showcasing the company’s “Future of Work” space standards, including innovative technology and a wider variety of collaborative spaces designed to support hybrid working.
“The growth that Oklahoma City has seen over the last decade is tremendous,” said Bob Pielsticker, senior vice president and Director for CBRE in Oklahoma. “Being in the heart of Midtown puts us in the midst of all of the exciting energy and will further elevate our brand within Oklahoma City.”
The office features various social spaces that are intended to support collaborative workspace, including bench-seating workstations, focus rooms, phone rooms, a huddle room, and the “Heart” of the office, a lobby of sorts which includes tables and chairs with power for an alternate working environment.
All conference rooms are video-conference-enabled. Specifically, the main conference room, the Redbud Room, features a Digital Companion Whiteboard, allowing employees to work together with an interactive whiteboard that both in-office and remote employees can use simultaneously.
The office design was heavily influenced by the local Oklahoma City culture and landscape. The office features an earth-tone palette, with artwork including prints by local artist Darrell T. Smith, abstract aerial landscape prints, unique artwork featuring Scissortails (the state bird of Oklahoma) in the Wellness room, and miscellaneous local photography.
CBRE launched its Workplace360 program in 2013 and has since opened more than 100 Workplace360 offices across the globe. A cornerstone of the Workplace360 model is its “free address” approach with no assigned seating. Instead, teams are assigned to various neighborhood work areas where they can use any unoccupied seat. As many companies move to hybrid work models, a free-address approach allows for any workstation or office to be used by any employees who are in the office on a given day.
