CBRE Strengthens Capital Markets Capabilities with Two Senior Hires in Los Angeles
Stephen Somer Joins the Firm as Vice Chair and Brooke Silver as Senior Vice President

CBRE is pleased to announce that Stephen Somer has joined the firm’s Capital Markets team in Los Angeles as a Vice Chair, specializing in office and studio investment sales transactions. Somer is joined by Brooke Silver who is joining CBRE as a Senior Vice President on his team.
Somer will be based in CBRE’s West Los Angeles office and will join CBRE’s National Office Partners team, an institutionally-focused office investment team bringing together the expertise of more than 60 dedicated professionals across 21 major markets. Most recently, Somer served as Managing Director of Eastdil’s Los Angeles office since 2003. Prior to this, Somer spent three years in London, overseeing their European and Middle Eastern operations. During his 22-year tenure, he was instrumental in numerous high-profile office and studio investment sales transactions in Los Angeles.
Somer’s notable transactions include the sale several prominent office, mixed use and campus landmarks in Los Angeles. His extensive client lists include the most prominent banks and investment institutions. In addition to his office and studio investment sales expertise, Sommer has completed significant production studio, agricultural, and alternative infrastructure assignments.
Silver also joins CBRE from Eastdil where she served as Vice President. She will partner with Somer and be based in the firm’s Downtown Los Angeles office. Throughout her six-year tenure, Silver collaborated with Somer on many of his most notable transactions, bringing strategic knowledge and guidance in investment sales.
