CBRE announced the addition of Brooks Pedder, Tony Binswanger and Bo Harkins to its Walnut Creek office. Mr. Pedder joins as Vice Chairman; Mr. Binswanger joins as Executive Vice President; and Mr. Harkins joins as First Vice President.
The trio specializes in selling and leasing industrial and logistics properties within Contra Costa, Solano and Napa counties, representing landlords, tenants, owner/users and institutional investors.
The Napa/Solano County industrial market has been among the tightest in the San Francisco Bay Area, according to CBRE Research. In Q4 2023, vacancy decreased from 4.8% the quarter prior to 3.2% with 1.33 million sq. ft. of positive net absorption in the warehouse segment. There was 467,645 sq. ft. of new construction deliveries in Q4, 80% of which was pre-leased, and approximately 1.1 million sq. ft. under construction.
“Industrial has been one of the strongest performing assets in the North and East Bay markets and it is a pleasure to welcome this high impact trio. Their work on some of the largest projects in Northern California adds to our capabilities in Walnut Creek and complements our expertise across the diverse asset types in our market,” said Trevor Thorpe, Managing Director of CBRE’s East Bay offices.
Mr. Pedder has leased or sold over 100 million sq. ft. of building space and sold more than 4,000 acres of industrial land or business parks across Northern California. Prior to CBRE, Mr. Pedder held leadership positions at Cushman & Wakefield, Cassidy Turley and Colliers, in addition to his work in advisory and transactions. He was a top producer in Cushman’s Walnut Creek market for the last four years and was a top ten industrial producer nationally in 2020. He is a dedicated member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors.
Mr. Binswanger has been involved in over $1.5 billion worth of commercial real estate transactions since 2008. Previously, he was Managing Director at Cushman & Wakefield and held brokerage positions at Cassidy Turley and Colliers. He is a fourth-generation resident of Contra Costa County and is a board member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors Northern California Chapter. He was the top producer in Cushman’s Walnut Creek office in 2023 and was a top 100 industrial producer nationally in 2020.
Mr. Harkins has leased over 10 million sq. ft. and sold more than $500 million in office and industrial properties. He previously was Senior Director at Cushman & Wakefield and held brokerage positions at Cassidy Turley and Colliers.
