Denise Dexter Named CBRE Charlotte Market Leader

CBRE today announced that Denise Dexter has joined the company as Senior Managing Director and Charlotte Market Leader.

Dexter succeeds Brett Gray, who recently assumed an expanded role as Executive Managing Director, Atlanta and the Carolinas. Newly based in Atlanta, Gray serves on the Atlanta leadership team, working closely with President John Ferguson while maintaining managerial oversight of the Carolinas. Dexter will report to Gray.

In this role, Dexter will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic direction and day-to-day leadership for all Advisory lines of business, including leasing, sales, valuations and debt and structured finance across all property types in Charlotte. Dexter will focus on expanding CBRE's business, elevating the firm's market presence and building on its strong foundation.

Dexter is an accomplished commercial real estate leader with deep roots in Charlotte and a strong reputation throughout the Southeast. She joins CBRE from JLL, where she held several senior leadership roles, including Executive Director, Southeast Brokerage, and Chief Operating Officer for multiple markets across the Carolinas, East, and Central regions, with her primary focus on the strategic growth of the Leasing Advisory business. Most recently, she served as Executive Managing Director within JLL's Project and Development Services business. Prior to JLL, Dexter spent more than a decade with Lincoln Property Company, holding a variety of property management, asset management and leadership positions.
