CBRE announced today that Greg Engler, a highly regarded leader in multifamily investment, has joined its Florida Capital Markets team as Vice Chair.
Engler will collaborate with CBRE’s existing sales and debt professionals to bolster the firm’s services for multifamily investors, with a primary focus on Florida markets. With more than 35 years of industry experience, including 25 years specializing in multifamily investment sales and equity raises, he brings a wealth of expertise to his new role.
Throughout his extensive career, Engler has facilitated numerous transactions with a wide range of multifamily stakeholders, including national and regional developers, institutional investors, REITs, insurance companies, high-net-worth individuals, and opportunity funds. Most recently, he served as CEO of Engler Realty Advisors, a boutique multifamily investment sales firm he founded in 2022.
“Greg is a widely respected professional in the multifamily sales industry, and we are thrilled that he has chosen CBRE as the platform best positioned to leverage his expertise,” said Josh Bank, CBRE’s Market Leader for Florida. “His vast experience, combined with our existing multifamily service offerings in Florida, will enable us to deliver exceptional results to an even broader client base.”
“I am thrilled to join the CBRE Capital Markets team,” said Engler. “Their investment sales and debt professionals are the best in the business, and I look forward to utilizing my network of relationships and years of experience to provide the highest level of execution for CBRE’s existing and future clients.”
Engler’s illustrious career includes the founding of Engler Financial Group in 2003, where he served as CEO, overseeing more than 200 transactions totaling over $9.2 billion. Following the acquisition of his firm by Walker & Dunlop in 2015, Engler assumed the role of Executive Vice President of Investment Sales, where he spearheaded the creation and expansion of the firm’s investment sales brokerage operation. By 2021, he led more than 100 brokers who generated over $19 billion in sales volume.
“Greg’s extensive expertise and deep industry relationships will further reinforce CBRE’s standing as a leader in multifamily investment sales,” said Kelli Carhart, Head of Multifamily Capital Markets for CBRE. “While his immediate focus will be on Florida, Greg’s proven ability to build and expand teams, coupled with his national network of relationships, positions him to influence our multifamily platform on a broader scale.”
Engler is an active member of the Urban Land Institute’s Multifamily Council and serves on the National Multifamily Housing Council.
