Office Specialist Scott Whitefield Returns to CBRE as Vice President in Albuquerque, New Mexico

CBRE has announced that Scott Whitefield, SIOR, has joined its Albuquerque office as a Vice President. Accompanying Mr. Whitefield is Shona Martinez, who has joined CBRE as a Senior Associate. Together, they will focus on leasing, portfolio management and site selection for office landlords and tenants.

Mr. Whitefield has more than 30 years of industry experience and rejoins CBRE after nine years with Colliers, where he most recently served as Managing Director, Qualifying Broker and Principal of the company’s New Mexico-El Paso region. During his tenure in the industry, he has completed more than 2.5 million square feet of lease transactions for landlords and tenants in 37 cities across the U.S. and Canada. Before joining Colliers, Mr. Whitefield was with CBRE for over six years, providing office leasing and advanced site selection analytics services.

Ms. Martinez brings more than 14 years of combined experience working for commercial real estate and financial services companies in the U.S. and the United Kingdom. While at Colliers, she participated in more than 700,000 square feet of lease transactions and property sales in New Mexico.

Mr. Whitefield serves on the board of directors for the National Association for Industrial and Office Parks and Samaritan Counseling Center. He’s also a registered instructor on letters of intent for the Commercial Association of Realtors | New Mexico (CARNM), as well as an instructor for the Building Owners and Manager Association/Building Owners and Managers Institute International.

Ms. Martinez serves as the President of the Women’s Council of Realtors Albuquerque and is a current member of the CARNM, CoreNet Global and The BorderPlex Alliance. She was formerly associated with APS Education Foundation as a board member and Commercial Real Estate Women Network.
