Steffen Kammerer to Lead CBRE’s Silicon Valley Office

CBRE announced that Steffen Kammerer has joined as Senior Managing Director, leading its Silicon Valley office. Mr. Kammerer will oversee CBRE’s Advisory business in Silicon Valley, which includes leasing, sales, debt and structured finance, valuation and property management.

Mr. Kammerer will replace Mark Schmidt, who has led CBRE’s Silicon Valley office for 22 years. Mr. Schmidt will retire from his management position at the end of the year and will continue in brokerage at CBRE as Vice Chairman in the firm’s San Jose office.

“Steffen’s experience in brokerage and leadership will be a tremendous asset to our people and clients as he builds on the great legacy left by Mark Schmidt after two decades of leadership and growth,” said Joe Wallace, President of CBRE’s Advisory & Transaction Services in Northern California.

Most recently, Mr. Kammerer served as Regional Managing Director of the San Francisco Bay Area at Colliers, overseeing brokerage services for its San Francisco, Mid-Peninsula and Silicon Valley offices.

Prior to Colliers, Mr. Kammerer spent more than a decade in tenant representation at JLL and led its national technology practice group. He was also president of the firm’s leadership counsel advisory board, advising leadership on internal initiatives focused on company growth, technology and hiring.
