The Nelson Tower was once the tallest building in the Garment District, standing 46-story high at 450 Seventh Avenue. Originally owned by Julius Nelson, Nelson Tower was sold to Samuel Kaufman in 1945. Kaufman’s original tenants included the Carnation Company (acquired by Nestle), the Loft Candy Corporation (now Pepsi-Cola), and countless textile firms. Today, Nelson Tower is still one of the most prominent buildings in the Garment District.

The Nelson Tower is close to Penn Plaza, the Garmen Center, Hudson Yards, the Empire State Building, Macy’s Herald Square, Chelsea, and much more. Whether you are a commuter to Long Island or Upstate New York, Penn Station has twenty-one tracks fed by seven tunnels. It is at the center of the Northeast Corridor, a passenger rail line that connects New York City with Boston, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and intermediate points.
