Located at the confluence of DC’s Central Business District and Shaw
Neighborhood, Walter E. Washington Convention Center draws over
1.2 million visitors from over 150 unique events. The surrounding area
features world-class retailers, award-winning restaurants, 13 hotels
within a three-block radius, robust office density, and numerous
entertainment venues, including the Capital One Arena.
Part of a broader strategic investment in the Walter E. Washington
Convention Center to activate its exterior and better connect it to
the Shaw community, Events DC constructed four (4) retail spaces
along the east side of 9th Street NW with direct visibility into the
convention center for retail, service, or food & beverage offerings.
Each of the retail kiosks measures approximately 285 square feet
with potential occupancy loads of 19 standing or 10 seated. The
spaces are in “warm lit shells” ready for tenant fit-out.
