Oxnard is a city in Ventura County, California, located on California’s South Coast and incorporated in 1903. It is the most populous city in the Oxnard-Thousand Oaks-Ventura, CA Metropolitan Statistical Area, one of the wealthiest areas in the U.S., with a current population of over 210,000. It is on the western edge of the Oxnard Plain with 16.5 miles of coastline and is a major transportation hub in Southern California with Amtrak, Union Pacific, Metrolink and Greyhound serving the city. It is located along the 101 Freeway, providing an easy commute to Los Angeles to the south and Santa Barbara to the north. It also benefits from easy access to the Pacific Coast Highway (SR 1), State Route 118 and State Route 33.
