AJ Prins is a single-tenant net-leased and retail specialist, having experience with property transactions across the United States. AJ has a large client base of private equity non-institutional investors, which he leverages to match the right investment opportunity to the right client.
Partnering with fellow CBRE capital markets specialists Cory Villaume, Matt Hazelton, and Sean Doyle, AJ and his team of highly experienced professionals provide a full range of advisory and brokerage services for all types and sizes of retail real estate transactions. His team has over 45 years of aggregate experience working with investors across the country.
Prior to joining the Retail Capital Markets team at CBRE, AJ was a First Vice President of investments for Marcus & Millichap for 12 years where he focused on transactional services for retail investors across the United States. He grew up in Burnsville, Minnesota, and graduated from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa.

Experience
This team has been in the business for a combined total of 30+ years and has dealt with over $1 Billion in transaction sales volume. Since 2007, the team has completed over 350 transactions and 5 million square feet sold. Sean and AJ pride themselves on their collaboration with industry experts, transparency, personal touch, and attention to detail which they bring to every client interaction, regardless of the client’s level of experience with commercial property investments.
