Eric Purmort is a Senior Vice President with CBRE's Irvine office, specializing in commercial real estate advisory services.

Over the course of his career, Eric has completed more than 1,000 lease and sale transactions totaling over $500 million in value, while averaging approximately 300,000 square feet of transactions annually.

Eric is part of CBRE's Occupier Advisory Group, where he exclusively represents tenants and owner-users. He advises clients on a wide range of strategic real estate decisions, including lease renewals, relocations, acquisitions, site selection, build-to-suit opportunities, tenant improvement strategy, portfolio evaluation, and long-term occupancy planning.

With more than 13 years of experience representing only tenants and owner-users – never landlords – Eric provides a conflict-free, highly strategic approach designed to level the playing field. His role is to create leverage, uncover opportunities, and position clients to make informed decisions that reduce occupancy costs, improve flexibility, and align real estate with broader business objectives.

Prior to joining CBRE, Eric was with Newmark and Cushman & Wakefield.

Eric earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics with an emphasis in Finance from Chapman University. He lives in San Juan Capistrano with his wife, Katy, and their daughter and son.
