Laura Barr leads CBRE’s retail business across the Americas, where she is responsible for CBRE’s Retail growth strategy and client delivery across its platform and 500 professionals.
Prior to leading CBRE’s Retail business, Laura led a San Francisco-based Retail team with a keen eye on real estate strategies that drew from her passion for urban planning and consumer trends. Laura is an established thought leader and advisor to CBRE’s clients and consistently leads her team to deliver innovative solutions for an extensive list of top tier investors and occupiers.
Laura was the inaugural winner of CBRE’s prestigious Darla Longo Award, which recognizes the best and brightest producers in the organization. She has served in numerous leadership positions, including serving on the Board of Trustees for ICSC; sitting on CBRE’s Americas Producer Advisory Board; and co-chairing the Futures Committee, which produced compelling research on the impact of autonomous vehicles.
Laura is also involved in many charitable and community organizations, including La Cocina, a highly-regarded incubator for food businesses in the Bay Area, where she serves as a board member. She also serves on the advisory board of Health Hospitality Partners, an innovative real estate development and operating company focused on healthcare, and on the board of directors for Onsights, an AI-based, computer vision retail intelligence company focused on e-commerce analytics and insights for brick-and-mortar retailers.
Laura earned her master’s degree in city planning and a certificate in real estate design and development from the University of Pennsylvania.
