Mat Houston began his commercial brokerage career in 2007 and is currently a Vice President with the Halifax Commercial Leasing Team at CBRE. Over the past decade and a half, Mat has led brokerage and advisory services for some of Atlantic Canada’s largest and most significant developments. He and his team specialize in Landlord and Vendor advisory for commercial sales and leasing throughout Halifax. Mat holds an Urban Land Economics Degree from the University of British Columbia and a Communications Degree from the University of Calgary.
Throughout his career, Mat and his team have successfully listed some of the highest‑profile properties within Atlantic Canada and have consistently ranked among the region’s top performers. His team achieved the highest volume of annual transactions in Atlantic Canada from 2020 to 2025. Mat was the #1 producer in Atlantic Canada from 2023 to 2025, and he has been recognized among CBRE Atlantic’s Top 5 producers from 2020 through 2025.
