Nicholas M. Weld is a First Vice President with Advisory and Transaction Services in Denver, Colorado. His client base includes leading tenants in the technology, financial, legal and media/creative industries. As one of CBRE’s preeminent Denver office market specialists, Nic is actively involved in many of its largest and most complex transactions. 

Nic’s approach to commercial brokerage is to develop a deep understanding of the operational and financial needs at the various phases of a company’s lifecycle, as they go from early stage to high growth through maturation. He addresses each transaction with a fresh perspective of the client and marketplace, often finding innovative solutions to situations that unlock maximum value and advantage. 

Over the last several years, Nic has represented some of the most notable tech transactions in Denver – such as WeWork’s high-growth from 50,000 to 600,000 sq. ft.; Gusto’s urban campus expansion on the 16th Street mall to 135,000 sq. ft.; Alto Pharmacy’s expansion in the Golden Triangle to 60,000 sq. ft.; and Snowflake’s new Denver office for 20,000 sq. ft.

Before moving to Denver, Nic worked in CBRE’s top producing Midtown Manhattan office where he focused on the boutique financial services industry and represented some of the world’s leading hedge funds, private equity and investment banking firms. Prior to joining CBRE, he worked at Cushman & Wakefield in the firm’s office brokerage division. Nic started his career in finance at Oppenheimer & Co.

CBRE’s Denver Office Tenant Representation team, led by Anthony Albanese and Nicholas Weld, is one of the Mountain West region’s premier occupier services teams. Through a vast array of expertise and cognitive diversity, the team based in Downtown Denver employs a holistic and comprehensive strategy with its clients to identify and overcome business challenges through real estate.

Supported by CBRE’s global real estate and technology platform, the team is able to differentiate itself through creative short and long-term solutions, including lease negotiation; global portfolio management; workplace strategy; financial modeling and lease versus own analysis; project management, as well as labor and incentives, among others. 
 
Drawing from their diverse backgrounds in real estate, the team partners with its clients to define its goals, make informed decisions, and creatively problem-solve through strategic execution.  The team’s open-minded approach to change and pivot with each business cycle and specific client need has led to its dominant market share position in Downtown Denver.
