CBRE Arranges 21,377-SF Lease for Syracuse University in NoHo Arts District

CBRE has arranged a 21,377-square-foot, full-floor lease for Syracuse University (SU) at 5250 Lankershim Boulevard in North Hollywood, California.

Marty Barkan represented SU in the lease negotiations. Patrick Church and Anneke Greco of JLL represented the landlord, DivcoWest.

Syracuse will occupy the 4th floor of the 179,346-sq.-ft., nine-story office building in the fall of 2023. The space will house the university’s growing SU in LA semester programs –career-oriented initiative for students in The S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and The College of Visual & Performing Arts. These programs offer students industry-related academic courses and internships with a variety of leading media companies.

“While these programs continue to grow, Syracuse University carefully considered multiple locations across Los Angeles that could best serve the creative community,” said CBRE’s Barkan. “The 5250 Lankershim property, along with its location in the dynamic NoHo Arts District, provides students with a unique mix of career opportunities, culture and amenities to immerse themselves in the Los Angeles experience.”

Greater Los Angeles recorded 3.5 million sq. ft. of leasing activity in Q4 2022, according to CBRE Research.
