CBRE Brokers 12,000 SF Lease for Engineering Firm in the East Bay

BKF Engineers expands to Stoneridge Place in Pleasanton, Calif.

CBRE arranged the 12,238 sq. ft. lease for BKF Engineers at Stoneridge Place in Pleasanton, Calif., which was one of the top five leases in the I-680 Corridor in the third quarter this year, according to CBRE Research. CBRE’s Josh Nelson represented the tenant. Kidder Mathews’ Ian Thomas and Jason Chandler, together with Andrew Brown at Embarcadero Capital Partners, represented the landlord, an affiliate of Embarcadero Capital Partners.

“Tenant demand has been strongest for Class A buildings that are well-located. Stoneridge Place’s proximity to amenities and public transit was a huge draw for our client. It was a pleasure helping them identify a relocation alternative as Pleasanton, CA continues to be an important geography for the company,” said Mr. Nelson, first vice president at CBRE.

Located at 7901 Stoneridge Drive in Pleasanton, Stoneridge Place is a five-story Class A office building with electric vehicle charging stations, a fitness center, conference facility, and 24-hour onsite market. The property was renovated in 2017 and is within walking distance of the West Dublin/Pleasanton BART station and Stoneridge Mall, and a two-minute drive to Interstates 580 and 680.

BKF Engineers has been providing engineering, surveying and land planning services since 1915. The company is headquartered in Oakland, Calif. with more than 16 offices in California, and growing in Portland, Ore.

Premium Class A office space, with attractive amenities, continues to be the most sought-after segment in the market. Class A rents increased quarter-over-quarter to $3.29 per sq. ft. in the third quarter this year, up $0.04 from Q2 2023, according to CBRE Research.
