CBRE announced that Yohar Renaud and Kyle Herting have joined its retail practice in Seattle. Mr. Renaud and Mr. Herting both join as Vice President and specialize in retail leasing across Washington, Oregon and Idaho.

The retail sector is undergoing a transformation. According to CBRE’s 2024 U.S. Real Estate Market Outlook, demand for open-air suburban retail centers will increase at a faster pace than other retail formats, as traditionally mall-based retailers explore new formats for expansion. Meanwhile, CBRE Research forecast that retail sales growth nationally will moderate in 2024 to around 2.6% due to reduced consumer spending and high interest rates.

“Yohar and Kyle’s work with national and regional tenants across the Pacific Northwest will be integral to the growth of our market. Their expertise adds to our capabilities in the region and advances the solutions we can offer our clients,” said John R. Miller, Executive Managing Director for the Pacific Northwest and Market Leader for the Greater Seattle region.

Mr. Renaud has worked with retailers for nearly a decade to expand across the Pacific Northwest. Prior to CBRE, he was Senior Vice President at Mattis Partners.

Mr. Herting represents both retail landlords and tenants. Previously, he was a Senior Associate at Mattis Partners.
