CBRE announced today that Melanie Fontenot has been promoted to managing director in Colorado. In this role, she will lead the firm’s occupier services business across the state and help drive growth in the advisory business.

“Melanie brings an exceptional combination of market knowledge, leadership experience and a deep understanding of CBRE’s platform,” said Jessica Ostermick, senior managing director in Colorado. “I’m excited to partner with her in this new capacity and look forward to the leadership, energy and growth she will bring to our professionals as we continue to strengthen our occupier services business across Colorado.”

Fontenot joined CBRE in 2002 and has built her career within the firm through a wide range of roles, playing an integral part in supporting multi-market occupier clients. Her expertise was shaped through years of collaboration with industry leaders including Doug Bakke, Todd Papazian, Ty Ritchie and Lee Diamond, where she contributed to complex client strategies and long-term account growth.

After a two‑year leave of absence serving with the Peace Corps in Madagascar, Fontenot returned to CBRE in 2009, continuing to expand her experience in tenant representation, team leadership and client advisory services. Her global experience informs her collaborative leadership style and commitment to community impact.

“I’m excited to support the broader Colorado region in my new capacity at CBRE,” said Fontenot. “My focus is on helping our professionals achieve their goals, delivering exceptional client outcomes and continuing to build a high-energy, creative community across our occupier platform.”
