CBRE Promotes Michael Yu to Vice Chairman

CBRE announced that Michael Yu has been promoted to Vice Chairman, the highest title for producers at the company.

Michael began his career in the hospitality industry in the early 90s and transitioned to hotel investment brokerage services in 2003. He joined CBRE in 2016 and has since transacted more than $3 billion of hospitality real estate.

Michael leads the CBRE Hotels South Central United States team. The 12-person team transacts nationwide across the private and institutional client space for all types of hospitality investment products, including limited service, select service, full service, and extended stay assets, individually and in portfolios. In the last three years, Michael and his team have executed more than 200 transactions nationwide.

Since 2019, Michael has been recognized as one of the top CBRE Capital Markets performers. In 2022, he earned an elite position in the Colbert Coldwell Circle, representing the company’s top 3 percent of producers.
