CBRE has announced it has signed a 16,000 square foot lease at 1001 Fleet Street, a renovated mixed-use Class A property owned by Harbor East Management Group. The firm will relocate from 100 East Pratt Street to the 8th floor of 1001 Fleet Street in January of 2026.
The new office is part of CBRE’s Workplace360 program, the company’s long-standing approach to workplace strategy for its corporate offices. It will showcase CBRE’s “Future of Work” space standards, featuring innovative technology, a wider variety of collaborative spaces, and strategic space planning. With increased capacity and expanded technology solutions, the new workplace is designed to support office culture, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall employee experience through improved workplace offerings and thoughtfully designed support spaces.
“Baltimore's vibrancy, rich culture, and waterfront setting make it an inspiring place to work, and our new space will be designed to reflect the city’s great character,” said Heather Nevin, senior managing director and leader of CBRE’s Maryland business. “We’re looking forward to immersing ourselves in the energetic Harbor East community.”
“We’re thrilled to create a workplace that not only enhances the experience for our employees but also reflects the high standards we deliver to our clients every day,” added Kyle Schoppmann, President of CBRE’s Mid-Atlantic region.
Tim O’Donald, president of Harbor East, added, “It's a tremendous honor for CBRE to choose Harbor East for their new headquarters. It’s also very encouraging to see the trending return to the workplace post-COVID, and we are looking forward to this continued trajectory. The resurgence of office activity not only benefits local businesses and real estate markets but also contributes to Baltimore City’s vibrancy as a whole.”
CBRE launched its Workplace360 program in 2012 and has since opened more than 100 Workplace360 offices across the globe. A cornerstone of the Workplace360 model is its “free address” approach, which eliminates assigned seating, enhances space utilization, and creates more opportunities for connection and collaboration.
CBRE’s David Fields, Jonathan Hall, and Jordana Pollack represented CBRE in the lease negotiations.
Built in 2000, 1001 Fleet Street has completed renovations that include a makeover of the existing office lobby, the creation of a new tenant amenity space with a rooftop terrace on the 4th floor, and new retail storefronts around the entire base of the building. The nine-story property has 163,000 square feet of total office space and 33,897 square feet of retail.
