CBRE Golf & Resort Group announces the offering of the Sanctuary Belize portfolio, which consists of three large properties, Sanctuary Belize, Kanantik and Plenty Tract, in addition to two private Caribbean islands collectively totaling more than 18,900 coastal acres in Belize.

"The sale of the Sanctuary Belize portfolio includes a master-planned development and offers some of the largest undeveloped real estate on the southern coast of Belize," said Jeff Woolson, vice chairman and managing director of CBRE Golf & Resort group. "Our team was selected by a court-appointed receiver resulting from a large Federal Trade Commission civil enforcement case to market the portfolio."

The Sanctuary Belize development is an approximately 7,600-acre master-planned residential community comprised of over 1,200 single-family lots in eight subdivisions. It includes a 59-slip marina, beach club, waterfront homesites, riverfront lots, equestrian center, wildlife reserve and land for potential future development. The oceanfront Kanantik property contains approximately 5,700 acres of large undeveloped tracts, including a former beachfront resort and a planned 410-lot subdivision.

Located in the Maya Mountains, the Plenty Tract features approximately 5,400 acres of rainforest with two miles of frontage on the Sittee River and is adjacent to a wildlife sanctuary and Jaguar preserve. The portfolio also includes two private islands, the 5.1-acre Southern Long Coco Caye and the 7.35-acre Pelican Range Caye, located about 10 miles east of Placencia near the barrier reef.

CBRE's Golf & Resort Group specializes in marketing premier leisure properties, including golf clubs, ski resorts, marinas, master-planned communities and development land associated with each property type. The group has successfully closed transactions totaling more than $2.9 billion, including 28 transactions totaling $843 million over the last five years.

Requests for proposals for the Sanctuary Belize portfolio are being offered in whole or in part. The offering details can be found at cbresanctaurybelize.com.
