CBRE announced Greg May has rejoined the firm's Newport Beach office specializing in office properties across Orange County. He will join the brokerage team of Rick Warner, Chip Warner, Peter Wells and Taylor Friend.

Mr. May, who will arrive at CBRE as senior vice president, brings over 35 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry.

"Greg is a great addition to our operation, a terrific cultural fit, and we are thrilled to have him back at CBRE," said Kurt Strasmann, CBRE's executive managing director. "His extensive understanding of the Orange County office market is a testament to his expertise, which will fortify our team's growth and success in this market."

Most recently, Mr. May led Newmark's brokerage operations for all service lines in the Southwest. Before transitioning from brokerage to management, he consistently ranked among the company's top-performing brokers. Mr. May has advised numerous regional and national firms as well as many of Orange County's premier landlords and tenants.

"I am happy to realign and join so many friends at CBRE," said Mr. May. "Focusing solely on brokerage at CBRE will be exciting, as my leadership experience has provided me with a broader perspective and refined my abilities in negotiation, client relations, and market analysis."

His previous roles included vice president at Transwestern, leasing director of the USAA western region and vice president in CBRE's Newport Beach office.

Mr. May's professional achievements have won him several awards, and the Business Journal has named him one of the "Most Influential People in Los Angeles and Orange County." He is a past president of NAIOP SoCal and serves on its board of directors. He is also a South Coast Metro Alliance Brokerage Group member and a board member of United Way Building Industry, Good News for Kids and Mariners Church.

He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Southern California.
